Jesus went on many road trips with his disciples; we should follow his example with the preteens in our ministry.
Mike Sheley, a preteen ministry veteran, points out something interesting about ministry to preteens. “This seems to be the first age where we are taking kids on a lot of trips outside the church.” Between camps, event weekends, missions trips, etc. you may find yourself “on the road” often with preteens.
And this is a good thing.
